CHOREOGRAPHER

MJ is a dancer, movement leader, and movement creator. MJ works as a choreographer for large and indie scale film and tv projects, and for select stage projects. She has been nominated for two BroadwayWorld Toronto Awards for Best Original Choreography.

Choreography highlights include: Resident Choreographer for The Rose Theatre Brampton from 2010-2015, where she choreographed 12 full-scale musicals; choreographing numerous dances for large and indie tv and film projects; and, choreographing multiple shows for her previous companies LaRouge Entertainment and Seventh Stage Productions. MJ also directed several professional theatre shows at the end of her stage career from 2015 to 2018.

MJ started her formative dance training in Ottawa, studied at The American Theatre Dance Workshop in NYC for three summers, and at various Toronto studios over the years. MJ works in a multitude of dance styles, but her strength is highly theatrical character-based choreography, where she can combine her perspectives as an actor, dancer and director.
